About condo conversion approvals
Summary
In Florida, the state must approve developers' plans before they can convert structures into residential condominiums. In this section of EveryBlock, we publish those approvals, so you know when a new condo project is happening near you.
Each record shows the location of proposed condo project, the date the state approved the condominium plans, a project number, a file number and the number of units in the project.
Note that local authorities must also approve before the developer can begin construction work. Also note that the state's data does not include terminated, rejected or withdrawn projects.

The data comes from the Condominium Conversions list found on the Land Sales, Condominium and Mobile Homes Download Files page of the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. The database is updated each day, though new conversion approvals don't occur that often. We at EveryBlock look for new condo conversions daily.
